You may not associate the fastest, sharpest card shuffling and cutting with hip hop and body popping, but you probably don’t link magic with notorious housing estates in Bradford. Yet that’s what gave Steven Frayne the street style to go with his unique blend of magic.

Heavily influenced by street hustlers, card sharps and professional gamblers, Steven was given his dynamo tag by a group of highly impressed (and impressive) American magicians, including David Blaine.

Dynamo has built a strong celebrity following, astounding artists such as Daniel Bedingfield and Ms Dynamite. In 2002 he was the only UK magician to rank in the top four of the International Magic convention. He has wowed packed houses and stars across the UK and Europe, entertaining the likes of Jules Holland, Pete Waterman, Charlotte Church and Prince Charles.

This blue eyed boy has come a long way from Bradford’s housing estates.
